Sousan Amiri, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC #48439) with over 20 years of clinical experience. She values building a strong and lasting relationship with her clients in order to better attune to the client’s specific needs and goals.
She is a certified EMDR therapist and has extensive training in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy which incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, Somatic psychotherapy, Mindfulness practices, and relational perspectives. She also shares a speciality in EFT couples’ therapy, providing a holistic approach to approaching each couple’s relationship dynamics. She is very active in sessions and works collaboratively with her clients to assist them in effective resolution of their problems.
She received her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge. She has received training from different institutes and organizations and holds numerous memberships in several honor societies and professional organizations.
Sousan believes that we can't change difficult situations of the past, but we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, she will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
